Video

2017 EduAd Gold Award Winner: This Christmas video features Bucky, Barry University’s lovable mascot, enjoying a South Florida Christmas. We began with my concept for the poolside Christmas scene and worked our way backwards. (Coincidentally, the northern states were experiencing a deep freeze when we released this video, so it capitalized on university’s ideal location.)

Virtual Tour

Barry University Virtual Tour | Script by Jessica Alexandre

To make the college decision process easier for out-of-state and international students, we teamed up with YouVisit to create virtual tours for Barry University’s main campus and law school. I wrote and edited the scripts for both virtual tours and worked closely with the art director to develop walking paths, scout locations, and select images.

Gift Box

Barry University Gift Box | Jessica Alexandre

This was a first in a series of giveaways for visiting high school counselors. After the counselors’ visit, we emailed a thank you note and mailed three themed gift boxes. This box featured the tagline “The future looks bright,” text that focused on their students’ futures, and a pair of Barry University branded sunglasses.

Infographic

Barry University Infographic | Jessica Alexandre

2017 EduAd Merit Award Winner: During a campus visit by high school counselors from Puerto Rico, we learned that both students and counselors valued physical marketing collateral, since Internet connectivity on the island is often slow and unreliable. Using this and other feedback from the counselors, we created this infographic poster to highlight Barry University in a quick and eye-catching way.

Publication

Barry University Campus Life Booklet | Jessica Alexandre

Barry University’s admissions office was missing campus life in its communication tracks. We created one comprehensive publication for prospective students and their families. I outlined, wrote, and edited the copy and worked with the art director to select images. We then repurposed the publication for our website, recruitment emails, and social media posts.

Open House Cards

Barry University Infocard | Jessica Alexandre

This is one in a series of nine double-sided, die-cut cards created for a last-minute open house. Each card featured a social media media post or text message conversation. As the university was in the process of updating its marketing collateral, these cards allowed each school to have a unifying, branded takeaway.

Website

Barry University Friends of Cor Jesu | Jessica Alexandre

I wrote and edited copy for this website to raise funds for Barry University’s Cor Jesu Chapel renovations. Although the chapel is the centerpiece of the university, most alumni and friends don’t know about its importance and history. As a fundraising tool, this website reawakened an affinity for the main campus.

Print Ad

Barry University Fine Arts Print Ad | Jessica Alexandre

We created this print ad for a fine arts event program attended by both prospective students and parents. I took a “day-in-the-life” approach using the university’s energetic and friendly voice to promote the Department of Fine Arts.

Email Invitation

Barry University used this promotional email to publicize the first event for the New York City Alumni Chapter. It was important to communicate the discount, as the regular cost of Broadway tickets are prohibitive for many of Barry’s alumni in the area.

Direct Mail

Barry University Direct Mail | Jessica Alexandre

This direct mail piece was sent to all previous Barry University alumni donors who had not yet donated that fiscal year. Using the previous year’s result and student testimonials, it reiterates why alumni should continue to give.

Tri-fold Brochure

Barry University Biology Brochure | Jessica Alexandre
This brochure is distributed at college fairs and sent to the homes of prospective students who have indicated an interest in Barry University’s biology program. I used a listicle format to break up the copy. I also wanted to show that science students can have a well-rounded educational experience.
