With Give Miami Day on the horizon, it’s time to recommit ourselves to supporting organizations that are doing good in our communities. With the current state of political affairs, who knows whether federal and state funding will be available to support local initiatives that make a big impact.
Thankfully, we still have the power to help shape our communities through service and philanthropy. That’s where Give Miami Day comes in.
Give Miami Day is a 24-hour online donation drive sponsored by The Miami Foundation. Last year, it raised more than $7 million for over 600 South Florida nonprofits.
Give Miami Day 2016 is on Thursday, November 17.
So with that said, just give if you can. The minimum donation accepted is $25, and you can designate it to one of the many active nonprofits in South Florida. You can:
Give for Accessible Health Care
Because poor health and lack of health education can affect every aspect of a person’s life.

If you don’t have the means to donate, you can still use the other 364 days of the year to give your time and talents. If we’re going to build better communities, we need everyone to get involved.
